Course Background

Safety in Industry (Abrasive Wheels) Regulations 1982 (SI No. 30 / 1982)
Correct selection, mounting and safe use.

Course Duration

The Abrasive Wheels course is of up to 3 hours duration based on a group of twelve (12) to fourteen (14) persons. The certification is valid for 3 years.

Course Objectives

At the end of the training course participants should have the ability carry out the safe selection, mounting and safe use of abrasive wheels (consaws and angle grinders) in accordance with the relevant regulations.

The course involves candidate participation with the emphasis being on the practical element of the training.

Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a Certificate of Training
